CJBO Board of directors
Canby Junior Baseball is governed by a board of elected members. Each board member serves a two-year term, and is responsible for sign-ups and team formation, helping to organize fund-raisers, fieldwork, coordinating with county and state boards, tournaments and capital improvements.
Canby Kids could not exist without the help of its volunteers in these areas: Coaching, Field Workdays, Fundraising, Concessions at games and Fair, Tryouts, Umpiring, Advertising and Public Relations.

The Clackamas County Junior Baseball Association (CCJBA) is the parent organization for about 31 independent youth baseball leagues across the following Oregon counties:

JBO is independent of national programs like Little League and oversees 3 separate districts in Oregon, including CCJBA, Westside JBO and the Valley District JBO.
JBO generally follows NFHS (National Federation of State High School Associations) rules.

Our history
If you've ever noticed the little face on Canby Junior Baseball hats, shirts, or gear, you've probably wondered about the story behind it.
That face belongs to Wayne Oliver.
Wayne was born and raised in Canby and spent his life serving the community he loved. A devoted family man, coach, mentor, and advocate for youth sports, Wayne believed baseball was about much more than wins and losses. He believed it was about building character, creating opportunities, and bringing people together.
His passion helped shape Canby Junior Baseball and countless other community projects. Whether he was coaching on the field, volunteering behind the scenes, or lending a hand wherever it was needed, Wayne had a way of making everyone feel welcome. To know Wayne was to have a friend, and his impact reached generations of young athletes.
When Wayne passed away, many said, "When Canby lost Wayne, it lost its best friend."
Today, the little face on our gear serves as a reminder of the legacy he left behind. It represents the heart of Canby Junior Baseball: community, generosity, sportsmanship, and a love for the game. Every time our players put on a Canby jersey or hat, they carry forward the values Wayne lived every day.
